Overview

DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation is seeking a Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Analyst to join our team supporting the Missile Defense National Team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Applicant will be expected to provide technical expertise in the area of Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) modeling and simulation and/or analysis.
  • This will include ability to:
    • Plan and execute performance analyses on Command Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC)  and its interactions with current and planned BMDS assets; document analysis results in reports and briefings; present analysis results to a variety of audiences
    • Coordinate, design, and develop scenarios to test C2BMC requirements
    • Execute, test and evaluate BMDS level, large scale models/simulations
    • Perform Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) of the C2BMC model
    • Develop, test, and evaluate threat scenarios; using large scale simulations, perform System Level Test event predictive analysis, post-test analysis, and/or post-flight reconstruction analysis
    • Provide data to support decisions regarding system/element representations and modeling parameters used in large scale simulations
    • Interact with members of other C2BMC MDNT IPTs, C2BMC leadership, MDA customers, and technical SMEs as well as leadership of other BMDS Element programs

Qualifications

  • Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college, minimum. MS technical degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience desired
  • Applicant must have a solid engineering background that covers a variety of disciplines which support both conceptual and detailed system level assessments, as well as a basic understanding of analysis techniques, planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Desired skills include Federated Models, OSM, MDST, DESim setup, configuration, data analysis execution, message exchange, message types, interaction with C2BMC/BCM, model V&V, large data set manipulation
  • The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Applicant should have a thorough familiarity with Word, PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with MatLab and/or scripting languages such as Perl and Python are desired. A working knowledge of Unix/Linux and MySQL is desired
  • Technical specialty areas may include, but are not limited to the following: radar design and performance; endo/exo-atmospheric interceptor design and performance; target discrimination; ballistic missile threat characterization, performance, or modeling; simulation of large, complex systems; requirements or performance analysis using models and simulations; or M&S Verification, Validation and Accreditation
