Overview

DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation is looking for a Mathematical Programmer to join our team in Arlington, VA. DAC develops advanced algorithms for dynamic decision support in Space Situational Awareness, Missile Defense, and Remote Sensing applications. The candidate will work with experienced personnel to learn, in detail, cutting-edge techniques from a variety of relevant fields such as mathematics, physics, operations research, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer science.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for implementing various algorithms in code and testing their potential to support real-time decision support applications.  After having developed familiarity with the problem and the current state-of-the-art of relevant algorithms, it is expected that the candidate will work to maintain an awareness of on-going research in a variety of disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to learn advanced concepts across a wide variety of quantitative and scientific fields such as probability theory, mathematical optimization, computer science, physics, etc.
  • Candidates must have experience implementing mathematical programming algorithms in one or more of the following languages/tool: Java, Scala, C++, or MATLAB
  • Experience in applying core Machine Learning methodologies is a plus:  Regression, Bayesian classifier, Clustering, Matrix Factorization, k-Nearest Neighbors, Natural Language processing, Decision trees, Support Vector Machines, Neural Networks & Deep Learning
  • Candidates must possess good communications skills to enable them to work collaboratively.
  • Applicants must be US citizens and be able, at minimum, to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance upon hire.
